Tucson Cactus Rescue Photos (Tucson, Arizona - June 2006)
At 6:30 a.m., most folks are sound asleep in Tucson, but the TCSS is back in Corona De Tucson again! |
The desert is about to get destroyed for suburbia.
The natives were not happy to see us. Maybe the animal kingdom has started to associate us with impending doom. |
In front of the Prickly Pear cactus is a rabbit. |
I have my cactus digging gear. I did forget my cutters though. Shovel, water, gloves, cardboard box, white-out and coffee bean bag which can be used like a stretcher for heavier cactus. |
Happy rescuers working. |
Loading up the ones we dug out. Note the ADA tags. |
All in all, a beautiful day at the base of the Santa Rita Mountains. |

One shot of the beautiful scenery around Tucson. |
